The Young Vic's critically acclaimed production of A Doll's House is to transfer to London's West End, with Hattie Morahan reprising her award-winning performance as Ibsen's Nora.

The production has already had two sold-out runs at the Young Vic.

This version of the classic play is written by Simon Stephens and is directed by Carrie Cracknell.

It will open at the Duke of York's Theatre on 8 August for a 12-week run that will finish on 26 October.

In keeping with the Young Vic's pricing policy, there will be more than 100 tickets for each performance available for £10.

Morahan was named best actress at the 2012 Evening Standard and Critics' Circle Theatre Awards for her portrayal of trapped housewife Nora.

The Guardian's Michael Billington called her "bravura, external" work "elevates Morahan to the front rank of British actors", while the Sunday Telegraph said hers was "a once-in-a-lifetime performance".

Dominic Rowan will also return to the role of Torvald, Nora's husband.
