Putting the emotion into a thriller

Dorothy Koomson describes her books as "emotional" thrillers.

Having cut her teeth on what she describes as "jolly" books Koomson decided to turn her attention to darker storylines, saying it was easier to tackle tough subjects.

Her ninth novel, The Flavours of Love, features a murder and a widow who might have something to hide.

She told the BBC's Nick Higham all about it.
