Australian boy band 5 Seconds of Summer have topped the charts with their single, She Looks So Perfect.

The four teenagers, known as 5SOS, knocked Duke Dumont's I Got U off the number one spot.

5SOS are only the fourth Australian group to reach number one in the UK singles' chart, and the first to do so in 14 years.

Changes by Faul & Wad Ad vs Pnau was the highest new entry at three, the Official UK Chart Company said.

The last Australian track to reach number one was Madison Avenue's Don't Call Me Baby in May 2000.

5SOS - Luke Hemmings, Mikey Clifford, Calum Hood and Ash Irwin - found fame with their Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran songs on YouTube.

They recently supported One Direction on their Take Me Home world tour.

This week's top five is completed by My Love by Route 94 featuring Jess Glynne and John Legend's All Of Me at number 5.

X Factor winner Sam Bailey tops the album chart with her debut, The Power of Love - the first number one by an X Factor winner since Alexandra Burke in 2009.

"This really is the icing on the cake to an incredible few months," said Bailey.

"I've worked hard to get where I am and I'm so happy that everyone is liking what I'm doing."

George Michael's Symphonic slid to number two, with Going Back Home - a collaboration between The Who's Roger Daltrey and terminally ill guitarist Wilko Johnson - entering the charts at number three.
