Peaches Geldof, who has died suddenly at the age of 25, was a TV presenter and writer. She leaves a husband, singer Thomas Cohen, and two young sons Astala and Phaedra. In a statement, Cohen said: "I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday."

Peaches Geldof was the second daughter of Boomtown Rats singer and Live Aid co-founder, Bob Geldof, and TV presenter, Paula Yates. Yates died of a drug overdose in 2000 at the age of 41. Peaches made regular appearances at red carpet events such as the NME awards in February (centre) and, last week, a high street fashion launch (left).

Geldof was 11 years old when her mother died. In an interview with Elle magazine, she said she had tried to block out her mother's death for a number of years, and had only started to grieve when she was about 16.

Born into a world of celebrity, Geldof was at ease in the spotlight, pictured here with singer Eliza Doolittle at a fashion week event.

She also worked as a model and, just last week, attended a launch for Tesco's F&F clothing range in London.

Peaches Geldof had previously said she had experimented with drugs as a teenager, but was "never that wild". This picture shows her (right) attending the NME awards with her dad and sister Pixie in 2006.

In a statement, Bob Geldof (centre) said: "We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us... What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable?"

Her final tweet, posted on Sunday, linked to an Instagram picture of her, as a baby, in her mother's arms. Here she is pictured (right), with her sister Pixie (centre) and half-sister Tiger Lily, clapping as her dad receives the freedom of Dublin in 2006.
