Ennio Morricone has written more than 500 scores for films like The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and Cinema Paradiso.
But he says his biggest regret is turning down the opportunity to compose for Clint Eastwood's directorial work, out of loyalty to Sergio Leone.
The 86-year-old composer is about to embark on a European tour, which will include a rare performance in London.
I spoke to him about his life's work.
