Madonna closed this year's Brit Awards ceremony at London's O2 Arena, but unfortunately fell off the stage after a dancer tried to remove a cape which was attached too tightly around her neck

Sam Smith won two awards - best British breakthrough act and the global success award

Kanye West performed his new track, All Day, complete with flamethrowers on stage

Mark Ronson collected the prize for best British single for his hit Uptown Funk

Many stars - among them Lionel Richie - were on the red carpet ahead of the ceremony to take selfies with fans
