Jolie and Pitt's relationship has always drawn huge interest from the world's press.
They were happy to appear together at each other's film premieres, including Pitt's film Ocean's 13 in 2007.
Jolie was expecting their twins Knox and Vivienne in 2008 when they attended Cannes Film Festival.
