Little Mix tie with Skepta for the most nominated act of the night with three and they are also performing - they did moody pouts on the red carpet in an eclectic choice of dresses.

Ed Sheeran and James Arthur had a bit of a bromance on the red carpet. Ed is performing at the ceremony. James is up for best British single and video of the year for Say You Won't Let Go.

Simon from Biffy Clyro went for a Red Riding hood style cape as his red carpet attire. "Call me Little Red Riding Dude," he joked. The band are up for best British group.

Rag 'N' Bone Man was the only one on the red carpet to have already won a 2017 Brit - as the Critics' Choice winner.

Best British female nominee Ellie Goulding also went for a long dress with a split.

Three more takes on the evening suit by Dua Lipa, Christine and the Queens and Wiley.

Best British female nominee Emile Sande went for a statement earring.

British breakthrough nominee Anne Marie, best British female nominee Lianne La Havas and Rita Ora added some glamour to the red carpet.

Dermot O'Leary and Emma Willis have been drafted in to present the ceremony at London's O2 Arena, after original host Michael Buble pulled out to care for his young son, who is receiving treatment for cancer.

Clean Bandit are up for best British single for Rockabye.

Best British female nominee Nao was on the red carpet along with Charlie XCX and the BBC Sound of 2017 winner Ray BLK.

Blossoms, who arrived on the Tube and looked a bit like they were still dressed for the Tube, are up for best British breakthrough act.

Best British group nominees Bastille also travelled to the ceremony by tube but they did at least look like they had put on their best outfits.
