Home blood pressure tests 'might give better results'

People in England and Wales who are thought to have high blood pressure should be tested at home over the course of 24 hours, according to the NHS watchdog.

National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence says around a quarter of patients may find visiting a GP stressful, leading to a temporary increase in blood pressure and prescriptions for drugs they do not need.
