I was lucky my cancer was diagnosed early

John Marsh's early stage bowel cancer was picked up through the routine screening which is offered to all men and women aged 60 to 74.

John told the BBC that although he had to have seven inches of bowel removed to treat his cancer, he regards himself as lucky because the screening programme caught it early.
