Coronavirus a 'serious challenge for the next nine months' - Chris Whitty

Coronavirus will bring "real problems" as we go into winter, despite all the information and tools now available to tackle it, England's chief medical officer has warned.

Prof Chris Whitty said the virus still poses a "really serious challenge" for "at least the next nine months".

He also spoke about a possible timeline for a vaccine against Covid-19.
