Your pictures: Severe weather continues across the UK

Thousands of homes around the UK remain without electricity after severe weather disrupted supplies. BBC News website readers have been sending in their photos. Laura Boddy, Ashleyhay, Derbyshire says: "We are completely cut-off as the country roads that lead to our house are filled by snow drifts reaching heights of 7-8ft tall."

Kenneth Young tells us: “Here's a couple of snaps of the generators arriving on Arran and a generator in Lamlash that's proofing power to the centre of the village. My 86 year old gran and I still don't have power, today is our third day without power.”

Tim Dennis sent us this picture of a pheasant who Tim describes as a near-permanent occupant of his garden in Birch south of Colchester.
Stephen Johnson says: “The photos were taken by me yesterday, in Burnley, between 11.00 am and 11.15, on what is known as the Burnley Embankment, in Burnley, Lancashire. The dog is my saluki-greyhound, Ruby, and she is chasing snowballs thrown by my wife.”

Tony Stanistreet tells us: "Taken in our conservatory in Connahs Quay, North Wales, it has snowed constantly since Thursday night. About two foot of snow has fallen."
Charlie Thomas from Shotton, North Wales tells us: "It’s still snowing now. It's also very cold and windy and the roads are very icy.”
