Dr Who: Your anniversary pictures

As Dr Who celebrates its 50th birthday, BBC News website readers have been sending us their photos of celebrations and exhibitions. London's ExCel Exhibition Centre was the venue for a three day Dr Who exhibition for fans and cast alike. Photo: Violet Ford.

A UK audience of 10.2 million people watched the special 50th anniversary episode of Doctor Who. Fans also attended special screenings across the country. The Branagh family dressed up for the screening at the Brighton Marina. Neil Williams, who sent this photo, tells us: "We had a fabulous night, the atmosphere in the screening was electric."
While some dressed up, others got creative with a pot of paint. Angela tweeted a picture of her classroom door carefully disguised as a Tardis.
John Leas submitted this photo of his granddaughter River, hopefully not about to be exterminated. John said: "We, my children and grandchildren have enjoyed Doctor Who for a long time! We were all watching the 50th anniversary special and loved it!"
Even pets captured the Whovian spirit. Here, Gucci the dog shows off her K9 outfit. Shelly Lorden from Buffalo, New York said: "My sister is hosting a party. We are so excited! We have a Tardis, a Dalek and I made my dog this K9 costume."
