Each week, we publish a gallery of readers' pictures on a set theme. This week we tie in with a BBC World Service series on the Philippines, and we begin with this picture by Alicia Maitland.

Emily Van Tassel: "A boy walks through the neighbourhood nicknamed Yolanda Village after the local name for Typhoon Haiyan, which devastated Tacloban and the surrounding areas nearly six months ago. These ships, three of 10 washed up on shore, have become a new part of the coastline."

Dino Robert Eleazar: "We call this habal-habal or motorcycle taxi. Habal-habal is a form of transportation in the Philippines, especially in mountainous areas. I even saw a habal-habal ambulance."

Jose Francisco O Sarte: "A beautiful shot of one of the most scenic cities in the Philippines, Legazpi City."

Jocelyn James took a picture of farming in his home village, Namitpit.

Darla Dela Cruz sent in this photograph of his friends in a Jeep.

Mark Baynham photographed a ship washed ashore by Typhoon Haiyan in Tacloban City.

Joseph Borthwick: "Boracay had an amazingly blue sea, which was very clear and full of life."

Rebecca Molar: "This was taken using my phone in my first and recent mountain hike to Mount Pulag. The sea of clouds gives out that surreal feeling of almost touching the clouds."

And finally, a photograph by David Parsons. The next theme is "square" and the deadline for your entries is 20 May. If you would like to enter, send your pictures to yourpics@bbc.co.uk. Further details and terms can be found by following the link below this gallery.
