Orphan elephant calves are fed a special formula by their keepers at Reteti Elephant Sanctuary in Namunyak Wildlife Conservancy, in Kenya. The community-owned and run elephant sanctuary gives care to abandoned or orphaned elephant calves due for release back to the wild as they approach the age of four. The sanctuary also benefits the local Samburu people who are seen as an expanding community-driven grassroots conservation movement in northern Kenya.

Quaden Bayles leads the Indigenous All Stars on to the field with captain Joel Thompson during the National Rugby League Indigenous All-Stars vs Maori Kiwis match at Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast in Australia. Bayles, who lives with Achondroplasia, a common form of dwarfism, was invited to lead the All Stars into the stadium after a video posted by his mother about him being bullied went viral.
