Matthew Logan: "The bright lights - and, apparently, an appetite for meat - always draws a crowd to the food stand at the annual Montgomery County Agricultural Fair, Maryland [US]."

Ray Goti: "I was fortunate to photograph this image as it was projected on to Durham Cathedral during testing for a nocturnal light experience. This is part of the biennial Lumiere art event in the city."

Monty Stillwell: "Light trails bring life to a wet, cold winter's evening."

David Robinson: "On a cold dark winter's night, I spent several hours at a very busy Oxford Circus, in London, with my tripod, taking a series of long-exposure photos. Whilst primarily focusing on the interaction between the festive lights and trails of light from passing vehicles, I got very lucky when two shoppers paused for a moment in the middle of the shot to provide a very helpful subject."

Dave Lovatt: "Taken at the RSPB [Royal Society for the Protection of Birds] Old Moor [Yorkshire] WildLights evening."

Rory Orlandi: "Christmas at Dunham Massey, [Greater Manchester] is a truly wonderful light-show spectacular."

Julia H: "Father and son in a lightsabre duel. The lightsabres will also be used as giant torches when delivering Christmas cards."

Peter Laurence: "A glowing angel, at the Bishop Auckland Castle [Durham] Aglow festival."

Jolyon Wong photographed bus trails on London's Tower Bridge.

Laura Grace Catania: "Taken while traveling through west Texas to find real 50s motels with these fabulous neon name signs."
