Javi Gracia (pictured during his first reign at Watford) has returned to Vicarage Road two years after he was sacked by Leeds United in May 2023

BBC Three Counties Radio hosted a special programme following Watford FC's sacking of manager Paulo Pezzolano after just five months in charge.

He is being replaced by a familiar face in the form of Javi Gracia - who was the Hornets' boss from January 2018 to September 2019.

Pezzolano was appointed at Vicarage Road in May - when he was the 12th coach since the departure of Gracia six years ago.

Watford are 11th in the Championship, and the sacking comes off the back of a run of two wins and a draw that has put the club three points outside the play-off zone.
