    A serious crash involving two vehicles has closed roads in Tadcaster, police said.

    The incident on Leeds Road, near Toulston, was reported just before 12:30 GMT.

    Emergency services, including two helicopters from Yorkshire Air Ambulance, attended the scene.

    North Yorkshire Council said Rudgate and Toulston Lane were also closed and asked people to avoid the area.
