  8. Hostelling with Chris Eubankpublished at 10:55

    Chris EubankImage source, Hostelworld

    Yes, you read that right.

Youth Hostelling with Chris Eubank was one of the desperate pitches Alan Partridge made to the BBC when his chat show was cancelled and his world fell apart.

Now, 18 years later, it has become a reality. The former boxer has filmed a one-minute "pilot episode" to advertise a youth hostel website. Here's what he has to say:

    Quote Message

Up until recently, I had absolutely no idea why people used to mention hostels to me and smile. It was truly an unsolved mystery to me.

    Quote Message

Youth Hostelling with Chris Eubank has now become a reality, and... finally, albeit a little embarrassed and ashamed, I'm in on the joke 18 years after Alan Partridge pitched it.

We're looking forward to seeing Monkey Tennis, A Room With An Alan and Inner City Sumo on our screens in due course.
