    The main contenders for best film are expected to include:

    • The Shape of Water - Guillermo del Toro's fantasy romance stars British actress Sally Hawkins as a janitor who forms a relationship with an amphibious creature being held in captivity.
    • Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri - Frances McDormand plays a grieving mother following the rape and murder of her daughter in Martin McDonagh's black comedy
    • Dunkirk - Christopher Nolan's World War Two drama tells the story of the mass evacuation of allied troops from the northern coast of France in 1940.

    The first 11 categories will be announced at 13:22 GMT - expected to contain most of the technical and craft awards.

    This will be followed by 13 more at 13:38 GMT - which will include the big ticket categories of best film, best actress and best actor.
