Live Reporting

Edited by Marita Moloney and Jasmine Taylor-Coleman

All times stated are UK

  1. What a night

    Marita Moloney

    Live reporter

That's a wrap on this year's Eurovision Song Contest! I don't know about you, but I'm worn out after all that excitement.

The results came down to the wire, but ultimately the country to beat, Sweden, came out on top.

Thanks for staying with us on the biggest night of Europop. I need a cup of tea, but stay tuned for more updates, analysis and reaction from Liverpool, Sweden and around the world.

  2. WATCH: The moment the winner was revealed

Finland's Käärijä was top of the scoreboard but the public vote for Sweden changed everything.

  3. Loreen's lap of victory with another performance

    Helen Bushby

    Watching at the venue

The two-time Swedish winner can finally relax as she performs her hit Tattoo.

She's singing about pain but that is a huge smile creeping through!

  4. Bad night for the UK

    Emma Saunders

    Watching at the venue

    Mae Muller

As Sweden and Loreen get ready to party, spare a thought for the UK's Mae Muller, who came second from the bottom.

Such a shame after Sam Ryder gave the Brits reason to hope again in Turin last year.

She gave it her best shot but performing last in the contest was always a difficult position to be in. Some fans also said there were problems with the sound while watching at home.

  5. Sweden's Loreen is only the second person to win twice

    Helen Bushby

    Watching at the venue

    Loreen

Loreen joins Johnny Logan as the only other person to win the coveted Eurovision trophy twice.

The bookmakers were right - Sweden were the favourites all the way through, and they tore through the scores to dominate on the night with 583 points.

Finland were second-favourites to win, and they got a very respectable 526 points, with Israel third with 362.

Sadly the UK didn't do as well as hoped, with just 24 points.

  6. Loreen makes history

    Loreen

Straight after being named the winner of the 67th Eurovision, Loreen is back on stage.

The Kalush Orchestra has just handed over the trophy, meaning Loreen is now officially the first woman to win the contest twice.

We're about to hear her hit song Tattoo one last time.

  7. The crowd were rooting for the underdog here

    Daniel Rosney

    Eurovision reporter, inside the arena

It does feel like the crowd in the arena wanted Finland to win.

Käärijä was the underdog to Loreen as favourite.

Fans here were chanting “Cha Cha Cha” during the results.

There’s not as much excitement as you’d expect. People are leaving before the show is over.

  8. The final points for Eurovision 2023

At the end of Eurovision 2023, here’s how the final leaderboard looked:

  9. Loreen takes the crown again

Sweden's Loreen has won the Eurovision Song Contest for the second time after a nail-biting finish with a massive 583 points.

The results for the final three acts were:

    • Italy gets 174
    • Israel is given 185
    • Loreen's Sweden gets 253
