Da'Vine drew laughs from the audience when she complimented the actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, who gave her the award for best supporting actress.
"You are so handsome," The Holdovers actress told him.
"I was hoping you were going to be here and woah. Worth it."She described her win as "coming full circle" since she started her career in London.

Oppenheimer has just won the Bafta for best editing - it's the first award of the night for Christopher Nolan's three-hour epic.

Padukone stunned in a golden saree and matching blouse. It’s not the first time she’s turned heads at an awards ceremony - she also captured people’s attention last year at the Oscars, when she introduced the song Nattu Nattu from the movie RRR.

The winner is The Zone of Interest, the historical drama about the Auschwitz concentration camp directed by Jonathan Glazer.

Image source, EPASophie Ellis-Bextor had the first performance of the night.
She performed Murder on the Dance Floor, the song that had a massive comeback and made it back into the top 10 thanks to Saltburn, the twisted thriller from director Emerald Fennell.
The song features in the eye-popping nude finale starring actor Barry Keoghan, which has inspired a string of viral tributes.
Dressed in a black dress and orange sash, Ellis-Bextor was supported by energetic backing singers. At the end of her rendition, the camera cut to Keoghan cheering enthusiastically.
The winner is Earth Mama, a child custody drama released in 2023.
The next award is for Outstanding debut by a British writer, director or producer, being presented by David Beckham. The nominees are:
Justine Triet and Arthur Harari just told the BBC's Colin Paterson where their award will go - in their loo, so guests can take selfies with it!
The first musical performance of the night is now taking place - with Sophie Ellis Bextor's Murder on the Dancefloor, which features in Saltburn.
On the red carpet, Rosamund Pike, who is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film revealed that director Emerald Fennell gave them all a "fantastic playlist" featuring music from 2007 before they started filming. She said she was "so pleased" for Ellis-Bextor and the new success of her song.
Pike said she had very little expectation that she would get a Bafta nomination, as "I don't have much faith in British people always rallying around their own".
But she said she was "really delighted" to be nominated: "It means so much more. When you're British and you get nominated by British people, for me that's a harder win and a dearer one."
And the winner is, The Boy and the Heron, with the award presented by Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott, stars of All of us Strangers.
