Image source, Bristol Music TrustThe trust which runs the Colston Hall says significant progress has been made on the multi-million pound refurbishment, despite delays.
Earlier this month, BBC Radio Bristol revealed the work had slipped behind schedule, meaning the original plan to reopen in 2020 had been moved to the autumn of 2021.
Later today the Bristol Music Trust will be giving an update on how the refurbishment is going, as well as unveiling the contents of a time capsule from 1951, found during the works.
The BBC has learnt the governor of Bristol prison, Steve Cross, is to leave his job and take up another post elsewhere.
It comes just a few days after a damning report exposed squalid conditions and high levels of violence at the prison - although the Ministry of Justice say his departure has nothing to do with the urgent notice to improve.
An advert has gone out to find a replacement.
The local authority says there are many empty beds as more people are choosing to stay in their own homes.
Read MoreDetails of a scheme to improve the A358 in Taunton have been revealed by Highways England.
A former proposal to upgrade the route between the Southfields roundabout and junction 25 of the M5 to a high quality dual carriageway has been modified to make it more affordable.
It was chosen as the preferred option after two rounds of consultation and feedback from local people and organisations.
The A358 is currently managed by Somerset County Council and is a mix of single and dual carriageway, carrying more vehicles than it was designed for.
Highways England says the proposal will mean traffic through the village of Henlade will be reduced by almost 90%.

Of the image, Oliver says: “Me and my dad go out and find interesting logs and things to put outside the hide in the garden for the birds to land on. We got this really cool bit with fungus and moss and bits on it. We had some snow and my mum loves blue tits and they look so cute in the snow I got this one for her.”
The Somerset native is no stranger to the camera. Oliver has been posting his snaps on Facebook for around 6 years and has amassed over 66,000 followers along the way.

A herd of goats has been introduced to a park in Bristol to help protect a World War Two monument.
The goats are on the Stoke Park Estate for the week, to control vegetation that could otherwise damage the anti-aircraft gun battery.
People will still be able to walk through the estate while the goats are grazing - but are being asked not to approach, chase or feed them - and to keep dogs on a lead at all times.
The goats will be cared for by community urban farming project, Street Goat
