    Ticket sales for the first day/night Test Match are up by more than 400% in comparison to the first two days of last year's Test going on sale, says Edgbaston. 

    The first day-night match will take place against West Indies at the ground in August 2017.

    A new Monopoly board dedicated to Shakespeare's home town of Stratford-upon-Avon is being released.

    Among the locations on the game will be Anne Hathaway's Cottage, Holy Trinity Church and Shakespeare's birthplace. 

    The latest edition has been specially created to mark the 400th anniversary of the playwright's death.

    Ducks and turkeys thought to have been abandoned have been picked up from a lorry park at services on the M6.

    The RSPCA was called to the site at Corley Services, between junctions two and three in Warwickshire, after the two turkeys and four Muscovy ducks were spotted grazing on a grass verge near the petrol station forecourt.

    RSPCA inspector Louise Marston said: "If they have strayed then we’d like to reunite them with their owner. 

    "Or, if they were abandoned, then we are keen to find out who did this."

    An 11-year-old schoolboy suffered a potentially serious head injury when he was hit by a pick-up truck outside his school , externalyesterday, said the ambulance service.

    The crash happened just before 15:15 outside Woodfield School, in Hawthorn Lane, Coventry.

    A review of Coventry's transport system, external has been launched which could see a very light rail system operating in the city.

    Councillors say planning is at an early stage but the tram-like service could link the city centre with the proposed HS2 line and the University of Warwick.

    Coventry City Council says the technology for the project is being developed in the city, external and the council would look to the new West Midlands Combined Authority for funding.

    A fire burning about 100 hay bales broke out at a farm in Coleshill last night.

    The fire service says it left a water bowser overnight at the farm in Packington Lane and will be returning today to check the blaze is out.

    Thirteen thousand motorists have been wrongly fined for using a bus lane in Coventry, but the council's not planning to tell them. 

    A tribunal ruled that the £30 fines shouldn't have been issued because warning signs were inadequate. 

    The drivers are now entitled to a refund, but councillors decided not to waste public money by informing them.
