Mr Peake took his seat behind Squadron Leader Martin Pert on Thursday to take part in a practice flight which involved a 20-minute display.
The aerobatic crew were being put through their paces ahead of the Royal International Air Tattoo which starts at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire today.
Among the manoeuvres featured in the Red Arrows 2019 display is one named Apollo which involves involving all nine of the team’s fast-jets arranged in a formation to mark the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing.
Quote MessageWhat a huge honour and privilege to join the Red Arrows today – a fantastic flight. It was brilliant to fly with Red 1, to see not only what was going on in the front but also looking back at the amazing formations. I fulfilled a boyhood dream today, I really have.”

A local authority in Lincolnshire has written to Lloyds Bank to express disappointment at the closure of its branch in a market town.
Earlier this week Lloyds confirmed plans to close its Spilsby branch in November.
East Lindsey District Council says it is opposed to the plan and has made formal representations to the banking giant.
Council leader Craig Leyland said local MP Victoria Atkins was also "particularly concerned" by the move, and has asked Lloyds to clarify what support it will be putting in place for affected customers and employees.
Quote MessageTowns across East Lindsey have seen a high number of banks closures in recent years and the decision by Lloyds to close their branch in Spilsby is particularly disappointing. This will be the second bank closure the town has seen in the space of a year, after Barclays closed their branch in the town last November."

The contents of a classic car restoration yard, amassed by a mechanic who "wouldn't scrap anything", have been sold at auction.
The collection of cars, motorbikes and vehicle parts belonged to David Cullingford, from Louth, Lincolnshire.
Mr Cullingford died in December 2015, leaving his collection, which sold for more than £5,000, to his family.
His son Nick said: "It was something he had a massive passion for - he was always in the workshop."
