Officers were called at about 22:45 on Saturday to a disturbance at a property on The Parkway.
A 15-year-old boy from the town was arrested on suspicion of assault by beating, possession of a knife, wounding with intent and theft of a pedal cycle.
He was released on bail pending further inquiries, police say.
He was also later charged with assaulting an emergency worker and criminal damage.

Officers were called to Boynton Crescent at about 14:30 on Sunday
Police say rifles and "grenades" used in airsoft sports were found and seized.
Meanwhile, the bomb disposal squad was called in to deactivate the grenades.
No one was injured, police say.
Danny and Nicky Cowley say their decision to leave Lincoln City for Huddersfield Town, which was announced a short time ago, was the "hardest of our lives".
Lincoln City Football Club has confirmed the pair have left Sincil Bank in order to take up new roles with the West Yorkshire club.
In a statement, the brothers say: "It has been the greatest privilege for Nicky and I to manage Lincoln City FC."

Lincoln City Football Club has confirmed that brothers Danny and Nicky Cowley have left Sincil Bank in order to take up new roles with Huddersfield Town.
The Terriers have triggered a release clause in the contracts of Danny and Nicky enabling them to discuss and ultimately accept new positions with the West Yorkshire club.
In a statement, Lincoln City chairman Clive Nates says: "Danny and Nicky leave with our best wishes and we sincerely hope they go on to have further success in their careers.

It's the news Lincoln City fans didn't want to hear, but it's been confirmed that the Cowley brothers are leaving the Imps and heading for Huddersfield Town.
Danny (above) and Nicky Cowley (below) led Lincoln City out of non-league football and reached the FA Cup quarter-final.
But they're now leaving to take up new roles with the Terriers.
Huddersfield were relegated from the Premier League last season with just 16 points and are 23rd in the Championship after failing to win any of their first six matches.
A tractor and crop sprayer have been stolen from a farm in Crowland.
Lincolnshire Police say the John Deere tractor - registration number AE09 HKH - and crop sprayer were taken from a farm between 19:00 on 4 September and 07.30 the following day.
Anyone who spots the vehicle or has information about the theft is asked to contact the force.
Lincolnshire Police are taking part in a fortnight-long campaign aimed at protecting motorcyclists on the county's roads.
From today you'll notice more officers on the roads offering safety advice to riders, as well as looking out for people driving under the influence, using mobile phones or speeding.
Of the 39 people killed on the county's roads this year ten were motorcyclists.

Councils in Lincolnshire have resettled just 34 Syrian refugees in the past five years, according to data analysed by the BBC.
Nationally more than 17,000 refugees who fled the Syrian war have settled in Britain since March 2014, with the largest proportion - 2,937 - finding homes in Scotland.
The East Midlands has taken in the fewest number - 774 - in the whole of the country.

This was the scene after a large amount of cannabis was seized in Lincolnshire at the weekend:
A member of the public reported a "large cannabis grow" on Revesby Bank, near Boston, while walking yesterday afternoon, police say.
Officers say the plants have since been "seized for evidence and destruction".
No arrests have been made, according to the Lincolnshire force.
A man had to be pulled out of the water at Lincoln's Brayford Pool over the weekend.

The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning when police received reports of screams for help, according to Lincolnshire Police Drones
Officers used a drone to locate the man and pull him to safety.
He was taken to hospital but was not believed to be injured.
A half-ton antique field gun is being pulled 330 miles by hand from RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire to HM Naval Base Clyde in Scotland.
About 200 members of the RAF, Navy and Army are taking part in the challenge, which is expected to take about three weeks.
They're doing it to raise money for the charity Military Vs Cancer.
Health visitors in Lincolnshire are staging a week-long strike in a dispute over pay.
Unite Union say its 58 health visitor members have lost more than £2,000 a year compared with NHS staff after their contracts were switched to Lincolnshire County Council.
The authority says it has a "competitive pay structure in place" and valued the health visitors' work.
The week-long strike runs until Friday and comes on top of the 17 days already taken or scheduled.

Hundreds of people have turned out for a new arts festival in Cleethorpes.
The inaugural Festival of the Sky was "a massive celebration of arts and culture" in the seaside resort, North East Lincolnshire Council said.
The three day event explored themes of discovery and the environment, with installations and street performances along the seafront and promenade.
A food bank set up as an emergency measure in 1989 is still feeding people 30 years on.
Lincoln Community Larder was launched by Mary Eckmyre to help people "in crisis" who could not afford food.
She later moved to America but decades on families are still turning to the food bank for help.
In 2018 it helped feed 3,562 people including 1,007 children. By July this year it had given food parcels to 2,677 people.
