A report for Lincolnshire's Police and Crime Panel reveals cases in the county's magistrates' courts are taking more than 50% longer to complete now than they did in 2010.
This works out at around 207 days in Lincolnshire compared to the national average of 169.
The report says the closure of the courts in Grantham and Skegness created a significant reduction in the number of defendants being seen.
Only Lincoln and Boston magistrates' courts remain in the county.
A number of other factors have also contributed to the slow down, including a change in bail procedures and fewer available crown court dates.

Police say a rise in reports of sexual assaults and rapes in Lincolnshire is down to the way they are recorded, not because there have been more attacks.
New figures show there has been a 33% increase in 12 months, with reports going up from 1,500 in 2017 to just over 2,000 in 2018.
The force has launched a campaign to make sure people understand they must have consent before engaging in sexual activity.
They also want victims to feel confident in coming forward.
An international training exercise with jets from the Israeli, Italian and German air forces is taking place at RAF Waddington.

Lincoln Crown Court heard Kieron Walker, 22, of Auckley, Doncaster, had a grudge with Mr O'Brien who he accused of losing £2,000 worth of drugs.

A man is to be charged with murdering a teenage boy who died from injuries he suffered 15 years earlier as a baby.
Jack Mitchell, 15, from Harwich in Essex, died on 13 March 2016.
A post-mortem examination found his cause of death to be a pulmonary infection and pneumonia as a result of injuries he suffered as a baby.

Plans for a new £3.4m training centre at Boston College have been approved.
The proposed Digital Transport and Logistics Academy will focus on developing port skills such as crane operations, fork lift truck driving and management, and will offer a range of apprenticeships.
Funding for the project has come from the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership and the college.
It will be built on the Rochford Campus next to the new Engineering, Manufacturing and Technology (EMAT) Centre.

Senior aircraftman technician Scott Stevenson, 25, was injured playing for the RAF first team in a match against the Army on Friday, and died on Monday.
Hundreds of tributes have been posted online to the airman, who also played for Boston Buccaneers, in Lincolnshire.
RAF Marham in Norfolk, where he was based, described him as a "popular member" of the team and community.
The UK Armed Forces Rugby League (UKAFRL) said it was "deeply saddened by the devastating news".
