  1. 'Rare' foals enjoying their surroundings

The twin foals born recently at a farm in Wingfield are growing in confidence, and getting to know their surroundings.

When Tilly and Lilly, two Welsh cobs, were born, an equine vet said he'd only known of two pairs of twin foals born in more than 20 years, with the odds of survival believed to be one in 10,000.

I went over to Trimley St Mary earlier to speak to Brian Aldous, whose house was damaged late last night after a car crashed into it.

Tito Jackson said: "We had the privilege of performing for Her Majesty the Queen when we first came to the UK in 1972 and we're always excited to return.

Town striker David McGoldrick has been ruled out of the Republic of Ireland squad for their World Cup qualifier with Wales and their friendly against Iceland during the international break due to a knee injury.

  6. Gervais' two-night stand sells out

We reported on Friday that tickets for Ricky Gervais at Ipswich Regent had sold out within about an hour.

A second date on 5 September was added straight away, but over the weekend that sold out as well.

For unlucky comedy fans, it's going to be a case of checking with the venue for returns or finding out just how inflated ticket prices are on re-sale websites.

Rock band Thunder's show at The Regent this coming Sunday has also sold out.

    Brenner Woolley

    BBC Radio Suffolk sport

    Ryan Henshaw

Jamie Godbold's side had Ryan Henshaw (pictured) sent off as they lost 3-1 at home to Harrow Borough on Saturday.

Needham Market's fading title hopes were dealt another blow as they lost 2-1 at Hendon while Leiston bounced back from their Suffolk Premier Cup disappointment by beating Harlow Town 2-1.

Lowestoft Town extended their winning run to six matches by seeing off Worthing 1-0 but Bury Town went down 1-0 at Brightlingsea Regent in the North Division.

    Luke Deal

    BBC Radio Suffolk

Police are searching for the driver of a car which crashed into a house in Trimley St Mary late on Sunday night, after being stolen earlier in the day.

Brian Aldous, who lives with his wife on High Road in the village near Felixstowe, said: "I was upstairs on the computer, I wasn't where I normally would be, sitting in front of the television.

"This is the third time that something's happened here exactly in the same place."

Mr Aldous said they don't know anything about the female driver - "where she is or who she is".

He added that he and his wife, neither of whom were injured in the incident, have received support from the local community, and says everyone's taking photographs of the scene: "They think it's a bit of a novelty - I don't."

There are long tailbacks and the road is not expected to be cleared until about 11:45.

A lorry driver had to be cut free from his cab by emergency services and several other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Other vehicles caught in the jams are reported to have broken down adding to the problems.

The pair are due to join up with the Wales and Republic of Ireland squads respectively this week.

"Tom [pictured in white] is going for a scan on a groin problem," manager Mick McCarthy confirmed.

"McGoldrick, who's been bothered with his knee - well that's nipping him at the back of his knee."

  11. Ipswich Town: McCarthy has no plans to resign

    Brenner Woolley

    BBC Radio Suffolk sport

As some fans continue to call for Ipswich Town boss Mick McCarthy to leave Portman Road he's told me he's going nowhere.

    Mick McCarthy

The Blues are just five points above the Championship relegation zone, and on a run of one win in 13 matches, after Saturday's defeat at Cardiff City .

Afterwards I asked McCarthy whether he's still the man to turn things around: "You wouldn't expect me to say anything else but yes, would you?

"I think we should make sure that I'm still the man to make sure we stay in this league, and the players make sure that we're still in this league, and then they can pick the bones out of it after that."

  12. 'It's a relegation battle' - McCarthy

    Brenner Woolley

    BBC Radio Suffolk sport

Ipswich Town are fighting for their Championship survival after Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Cardiff City left them just five points above the bottom three.

    Mick McCarthy

"Yes it is a relegation battle," said boss Mick McCarthy. "It's a huge concern, none of us wants to be in a relegation battle, certainly none of us wants to get relegated. I've never said we aren't [in one].

"We're not clear of it, I've always been looking over my shoulder, looking backwards and not above, and quite clearly that's been stressed to all of us with the results, the way they've gone, and the games we've got coming up."
