    Patrick Byrne

    BBC News

Hello and welcome to Monday's BBC Local Live: Suffolk as the summer blazes in.

These are a few of the stories we hope to bring you.

We are hoping to get more from the girlfriend of missing airman Corrie Mckeague who has announced the birth of their baby girl.

South Suffolk MP James Cartlidge gives his views on the Brexit negotiations due to start today.

How will the county deal with what promises to be the hottest day of the year so far, as rail services are already affected?

Between now and 18:00, the team here will bring you the news, sport, travel and weather updates as we get them.

We're always interested in what's happening in your part of Suffolk, so if there's anything you wish to share with us you can contact us via the "Get involved" button at the top of the page.

  2. Weather: Remaining hot and dry

    Kate Kinsella

    BBC Weather

Another fine and dry day, with long spells of sunshine.

There's a slim chance of a few showers later in parts of Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire, possibly with thunder.

Winds are light, and UV levels and pollen counts are high.

Temperatures hitting 31C (88F) - but cooler in coastal areas.

BBC Weather has a more localised forecast for where you live.
