Swingbridges close due to heatwavepublished at 12:28 British Summer Time 19 June 2017
A warning to boat users from the Broads Authority that swingbridges will be closed until this evening because of the hot weather.
Oulton, Somerleyton and Reedham are shut until 19:00.
Lowestoft's Bascule Bridge is also not lifting for boats until 20:00. The bridge was closed for an hour yesterday after high temperatures caused it to get stuck.
But if your boat fits, you can still navigate under the bridges.

Trains running slowly to save rails from 'buckling in heat'published at 12:04 British Summer Time 19 June 2017

Train services on the London line from towns and cities across the region have been reduced to one per hour in each direction.
Kerry Worrall from Greater Anglia, external told the BBC the move was necessary because trains had to run slowly to protect equipment.

"Network Rail put these restrictions in place when high temperatures are expected," she said.
"As trains go over the rails at high speed they can apply great pressure that could cause the metal to buckle.
"There is also the problem of overhead wires sagging.
"To run trains more slowly means that the railway infrastructure is protected better."

Mother of Corrie Mckeague says granddaughter is 'beautiful'published at 11:43 British Summer Time 19 June 2017
The mother of missing airman Corrie Mckeague has described her newly-born granddaughter as "beautiful".

As we've been reporting, the airman's girlfriend April Oliver announced the birth of their baby girl by posting a photograph on Facebook on Father's Day.
She was born on 11 June.
Nicola Urquhart, Corrie's mother, who has released the picture above exclusively to the BBC, said: "Baby is beautiful and very healthy.
"We are so proud of April and how well she has coped with the stresses put on her during her pregnancy and fully support April in her wish to as much privacy as possible."
She added no interviews or further photos will be released.
"We pray that others will respect this and not try to keep baby or April in the media," she said.
Miss Oliver revealed she was pregnant in January, four months after Mr Mckeague, from Fife, vanished on a night out in Bury St Edmunds on 24 September.
Police are continuing to search through the landfill site at Milton near Cambridge as part of their missing person inquiry.

A Facebook page dedicated to finding missing airman Corrie Mckeague has welcomed the birth of his baby daughter.

Mr Mckeague's mother Nicola Urquhart said: "We have finally welcomed this beautiful little lady into the world.
"She is absolutely perfect. I am so very proud of April for getting her here safely.
"Both mummy and baby are doing well. Thank you so much for all your love and support x x x".
April Oliver, 21, from Downham Market in Norfolk, announced on Father's Day that she had given birth to the baby.
Mr McKeague, who is 23 years old and from Fife, vanished after a night out with friends in Bury St Edmunds on 24 September 2016.
A search for his remains is under way at a landfill site at Milton near Cambridge.

A major power failure in the West Row area meant that yesterday's speedway meeting between Mildenhall Fen Tigers, external and Isle of Wight Warriors had to be called off.

"It's gut-wrenching because everybody's worked ultra hard again today, in hot conditions," Mildenhall chairman Kevin Jolly told BBC Suffolk.
"Our apologies to all, but this was out of our control.
"Hopefully not everybody's too despondent and we now look forward to a meeting next week."

The 27-year-old opener hit 218 off just 227 balls, sharing an opening stand of 147 with Martyn Cull.
Suffolk declared their first innings on 424-4 before Michael Comber took four Northumberland wickets to leave them on 65-5 at the close of play, trailing by 359 runs.

Extra staff were called in to work over the weekend as the East of England Ambulance Service struggled to cope with the volume of 999 calls caused by people reacting badly to the heat.
The hot weather, where temperatures reached 32C (95F) in places, was the major factor in a huge boost to emergency calls, an ambulance service spokesman said.
Emergency calls came from many people who had collapsed in the heat, were dehydrated and were elderly or struggling to cope.
The ambulance service, which covers Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, said that Saturday was its busiest day of the year so far.

Train operator Greater Anglia, external had cancelled 47 services on lines in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex and other parts of the region by 08:30 today because of hot weather and another 45 services were disrupted.
The heat and expected related severe weather had led to speed restrictions on some sections which will cause disruption across all services, the company said.
"Because of the alterations to services fewer trains will be able to run during peak periods," a spokesman said.
"Passengers will only be able travel on another service if the train they have booked on has been cancelled."
The Anglia Rail Forum said this had happened again despite engineering works and investment over the past 12 months.
Passengers are advised to check online, external before travelling.

Ipswich Town's, external first summer signing, striker Joe Garner, has been talking about his "easy decision" to join the Blues from Rangers.

The 29-year-old former Preston player put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Portman Road on Friday.
The fee is undisclosed, although believed to be between £500,000 and £1m.
"I spoke the manager a couple of times, I've nearly come here a few times before, and I was over the moon that the opportunity was there to come down and I'm here now and happy to be here," he told the club website.

The girlfriend of missing RAF airman Corrie Mckeague has announced the birth of their baby girl by posting a picture on Facebook of her cradling the newborn on Father's Day.

April Oliver, 21, from Downham Market in Norfolk, also wrote: "Your daddy would be proud of you my little one and would love you as much as I do.
"Corrie will be a part of both of us forever and no one can take that away. Mummy loves you little baby."

Suffolk pair George Pinner (pictured) and Harry Martin both played for England in yesterday's dramatic 3-3 draw against Argentina in the World League semi-final in London.

It was a disappointing result for the hosts who led the Olympic champions 3-0 at one stage and needed a penalty stroke save from Pinner in the final quarter to avoid a dramatic defeat.
It means England have two wins and a draw from their three pool matches so far.
