A pop-up Covid vaccination clinic has opened in Newcastle's Grainger Market.

People can have a first, second or booster dose of the vaccine and anyone aged 16 or over is able to attend.

Newcastle's deputy director of public health, Lorna Smith, said: "People are quite shocked to see it in the market, realising they can get a vaccine without waiting or needing to make an appointment.

"They are doing their shopping and happy they can have a vaccine at the same time."
