Ross calls for coastal protection plan to be scrapped

1. Humza Yousaf took questions from opposition party leaders and backbench MSPs during FMQs
2. Mr Yousaf faced calls from Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross to scrap controversial plans to restrict fishing and other human activities in some coastal areas
3. The first minister insisted that the government will not impose Highly Protected Marine Areas on any community that vehemently opposes them
4. Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar highlighted a report criticising efforts to tackle domestic abuse in Scotland
5. This week's FMQs comes with the backdrop of England having local elections, although there is no vote in Scotland today

What can we expect from FMQs this week?

This week's FMQs comes as voters across much of England elect their councils and it's also somewhat overshadowed by this weekend's Coronation.

We know Humza Yousaf will be attending the royal event, representing Scotland.

However earlier this week the first minister was fully focused on tackling poverty saying future Scottish government spending plans will be targeted at those most in need.

Will the ongoing trouble facing Scotland's ferries once again be raised by Douglas Ross? Will Anas Sarwar return to the travails of the NHS? Or will the troubles of the SNP be the focus for the opposition party leaders.

It's not long now till we find out.
