  1. 'Why has the SNP turned sour on Scotland's oil and gas?'

The Scottish Conservative leader turns to the issue of oil and gas and comments from Humza Yousaf while he was in New York.

Douglas Ross asks: "Why has the SNP turned sour on Scotland's oil and gas?"

  2. FMQs gets under way...

Douglas Ross gets to his feet and Shona Robison is sitting poised and ready for this week's FMQs.

First Minister Humza Yousaf is visiting New York as part of climate week.

With Humza Yousaf still rounding off a trip to New York, his deputy Shona Robison will stand in at FMQs.

The deputy first minister has attended hundreds of these sessions, having been an MSP since 1999, and has taken plenty of questions herself as a minister.

It will be interesting to see how she performs – will she leap at the chance to come out swinging, the way John Swinney used to when called to substitute for Nicola Sturgeon?

It’s also worth watching the dynamic with the other party leaders.

Anas Sarwar in particular has had a testy relationship with Ms Robison in the past – he was Labour’s health spokesman when she was health secretary, and the two frequently clashed.

  4. What's been making the headlines this week?

It's been a busy week in politics with the constition and net zero targets dominating the headlines.

The Scottish and UK governments clashed in the Court of Session in Edinburgh over gender recognition reforms.

Speaking for the UK government David Johnston KC said the UK government's decision to block Holyrood gender recognition reforms was in "no way unconstitutional"

Lord Advocate Dorothy Bain said the veto was unlawful and irrational.

Later in the week First Minister Humza Yousaf said it would be "unforgivable" for the UK to row back on its climate commitments.

Mr Yousaf was speaking in New York ahead of a major speech by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in which he watered down key green targets on cars and boilers.

While we don't know what will be put to Shona Robison by opposition party leaders, we do know net zero targets will be raised, at the very least, from the backbenches.
