    Local authorities are continuing to warn pubs and bars about flouting the current orders for them to stay shut.

    Rhondda Cynon Taf council says the licences of more than 10 businesses could be revoked for failing to close on Friday after the UK and Welsh Governments announced the curbs.

    But people wanting to enjoy a pub atmosphere can still head to a virtual pub created by David Chriswick from Swansea.

    A woman trying to plan her husband's funeral in self-isolation has pleaded with people to stay at home to stop children being left without parents.

    Anna Bowen's husband Delme, 49, died from a brain tumour on Saturday.

    The mother-of-three, from Llandysul, Ceredigion, could not be with him when he passed away because of a heart condition.

    "My little one is convinced I am going to die of coronavirus [yet] there are people queuing in Tesco," she said.

    Pubs that fail to close or hold "lock-ins" despite coronavirus restrictions risk losing their licence, a council has warned.

    Cardiff council said it had been made aware of of pubs flouting the government's announcement on Friday that they should shut.

    Cabinet member for Clean Streets, Recycling and the Environment, Councillor Michael Michael said: “This has got to stop."

    Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats Jane Dodds says scrapping the waiting time for universal credit is vital.

    The controversial benefit has been criticised for the wait claimants face before receiving their first payment with charities saying it leads people to debt, stress, foodbanks and ill health.

    Universal credit is a benefit for working-age people, replacing six benefits and merging them into one payment and was designed to make claiming benefits simpler.

    The MP for Alyn & Deeside has questioned how the government can guarantee the safety of Airbus workers and their families while it continues production.

    He says the government's advice has been "conflicted and confusing" and says "more needs to be done" to keep people safe.

    The aerospace giant employs 13,500 people in the UK, including 6,000 at its site in Broughton, Flintshire.

    Hi everyone, we hope you've been having as nice a time as possible in Wales on what has been the first day of the strictest peacetime restrictions on people's lives in an attempt to halt the spread of coronavirus.

    Here's a round-up of the latest:

    • Police have powers to enforce the rules as camp sites, caravan parks, libraries, playgrounds, outdoor gyms and places of worship are closed.
    • All gatherings and social events - including weddings and baptisms - of more than two people in public are banned.
    • Another death from Covid-19 is announced in Wales, taking the total to 17, with 60 extra confirmed cases taking the total to 478.
    • Wales' health minister says bed occupancy in critical care units is at about 45%, with 15% of patients with Covid-19 suspected or confirmed.
    • A nursing union says some of its members are "very concerned" about supplies of personal protective equipment for NHS staff in Wales.

    At the weekend so many people visited Snowdonia National Park as it was "impossible to maintain effective social distancing".

    Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons and some Welsh beaches were also busy.

    The Brexit transition period should be extended as the UK tackles the coronavirus outbreak, the Welsh Government has said.

    A letter from Mark Drakeford to the prime minister says not doing so could cause a further "economic shock".

    The UK plans to negotiate a deal with the European Union by the end of the transition, in December.

    Conservative assembly member Andrew RT Davies said Mr Drakeford's intervention was "bizarre".

    There is a “strong case” for closing some construction sites in Wales, the first minister has said.

    But Mark Drakeford says the situation is “complicated”.

    He told a press conference he had been “speaking to the sector today”.

    The situation “needs further thought” he said, pointing out that he would not want to see certain types of work halted, such as repairs to flood damage or construction of the new Grange hospital near Cwmbran, Torfaen.

    Parts of the Grange could open early to help with the battle agasnt coronavirus, the Aneurin Bevan health board said earlier this week.

    It came after pressure grew on the UK government to protect construction workers.

    The presiding officer of the Welsh Assembly has tested positive for coronavirus.

    Elin Jones announced the news in a statement on Twitter.

    The Ceredigion AM had said earlier on Tuesday she was self-isolating after showing "very mild" symptoms.

    Deputy Presiding Officer Ann Jones chaired today's proceedings in Cardiff Bay in her place.

    A police boss is urging victims of domestic abuse to seek help during the coronavirus lockdown.

    North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner Arfon Jones is concerned there could be an increase in domestic violence as families are thrown together by work closures and business shutdowns.

    "The threat of the coronavirus pandemic means that home is supposed to be the safest place any of us could be right now, but sadly that isn’t true for victims of domestic abuse," Mr Jones added, external.

    Dyfed-Powys Police , externalhave said they are "extremely busy" with calls asking them for information about the new government measures.

    "Since last night's announcement by the Prime Minister, our contact centre has been extremely busy with calls from the public on a range of different issues - from questions about why roads are still so busy, to whether someone's work is essential," they said.

    Mountain rescuers were forced to help a walker with no experience and wearing trainers who got stuck up a 3,000ft (900m) Snowdonia peak, despite warnings to avoid taking risks.

    Six Ogwen Valley mountain rescue team volunteers had to rope the man to safety and escorted him off Tryfan, after he became stuck in a steep gully on Monday.

    Mountain rescue teams have pleaded for walkers not to take risks because of the virus crisis.

    The team today posted on their web page after Monday's rescue: "His parting question: 'Where can I go tomorrow to take photos?'"
