In the last few minutes we've had a statement from Michael Mosley's wife, Clare Bailey Mosley, bringing confirmation that her husband has died.
She said that the 67-year-old "did an incredible climb, took the wrong route and collapsed where he couldn’t be easily seen by the extensive search team".
"Michael was an adventurous man, it’s part of what made him so special," she added.
Mosley left Agios Nikolaos beach on the island of Symi to go for a walk at 1330 local time on Wednesday. Less than half an hour later, he was seen about a mile away in the town of Pedi. A search ended in the early hours of Sunday when his body was discovered beside Agia Marina beach, around 1.5 miles outside of the town.

Co-author will miss Dr Mosley 'terribly'
Mimi Spencer, who co-wrote The Fast Diet with Dr Mosley, described him as “immediately likeable, genuinely funny” with an “innate enthusiasm about life".
Speaking to The World This Weekend on BBC Radio 4, Ms Spencer said Mosley's "mind would go down rabbit holes and come out with fantastic snippets of information".
“You never quite knew where you were going to arrive but the journey was always fascinating.”
Asked about how Dr Mosley felt about being in the spotlight, Ms Spencer said he saw fame “as part of the job” as he was “quite shy".
“When he had success, whether it was on the TV or through his books, he was rather thrown by it.”
However, she said he got an “almost childlike thrill when success happened".
“There was this abounding energy about him. He was a genuinely likeable man. He was just a good bloke and I will miss him terribly.”

We've just heard from the mayor of Symi who gave some more details.
“I can’t officially tell it was Mosley, it’s not my job to do that," Eleftherios Papakaloudoukas told BBC News.
"I can only say that the body in Agia Marina beach had an umbrella, a hat and a watch identical to the ones Mosley had when last seen.
"The body is now being transferred to Rhodes where they will officially identify it," he said.

The body found next to Agia Marina beach has been transferred to a Hellenic Coast Guard patrol boat after it was examined by a coroner at the site.
Firefighters moved the body on a stretcher at around 2.45pm local time.

Konstantia Dimoglidou, a spokesperson for the police, told the BBC that the coroner is going to see the body to "rule out the possibility that this was the result of a criminal act".
"We need to get a first insight into the causes of death and whether the death preceded the person's fall to the ground as well as how many hours he has been dead."

On Sunday morning, police said they had found a body.
It was discovered next to a fence in a rocky area, about 30 metres from the busy Agia Marina beach.
A bar manager reportedly found the body after Symi's mayor told staff he "saw something" by the fence of the bar.
It has not been moved from the location, which is a few metres away from where children are playing in the water at the beach.
The body has not been formally identified yet.
A police source told BBC News the deceased had been dead "for a number of days".
