BBC Radio JerseyJersey's government has backpedaled on a pay offer issued to some public sector workers.
Nurses, midwives, manual workers, and people who work at the energy from waste plant, will all get a new offer.
Earlier this week some unions threatened industrial action over the deal.

The States of Jersey's Chief Executive, Charlie Parker, is trying to save money on public sector pay and simplify the pay structure - which has meant cuts to pay rises for staff.
The States Employment Board, which is responsible for negotiations, says it is prepared to make a new offer to some groups, although it is yet to disclose the full details.
Unions said the last offer made was "insulting and inadequate".

BBC Radio JerseyDoctors in Jersey say they do not want to prescribe cannabis-based products to island patients - despite them being legally able to from February.
Earlier this month the States of Jersey voted to allow medical professionals to be able to prescribe some cannabis products.
Usually Jersey doctors follow UK guidance and advice on new medicines - but because very few cannabis products are legal on the mainland, they say no such guidance exists.
Dr Nigel Minihane, the head of the Jersey Primary Care Trust, said: "Because the guidance isn't there nationally, I suspect even they [health professionals on the mainland] will be finding their way in this respect."

New stamps revealed to mark Chinese Year of the Pigpublished at 13:34 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2018

BBC News OnlineGuernsey Post is releasing a new set of stamps to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Pig.
Created by Sydney-based illustrator Chrissy Lau, each of the six stamps reflects the pig's cultural association with an abundance of wealth and prosperity - with the Chinese symbol for pig depicted in gold on each stamp.
They'll be issued on 22 January with Chinese New Year falling on 5 February.

Aircraft makes emergency landing 'after lightning strike'published at 12:06 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2018
BBC Radio GuernseyA light aircraft has made an emergency landing on one of Alderney's grass runways.
A lightning strike is believed to be the cause.
Emergency services were put on standby as the aircraft, with two people on board, made its landing at 09:45.
Guernsey Airport said no-one was injured.
The aircraft was on a training flight around Alderney but was not locally based. Aurigny's flights to and from Alderney are unaffected.

BBC Radio JerseyA woman who campaigned for compensation for asbestos victims in Jersey says she wants to make sure it is removed from the island's schools.
June Summers Shaw petitioned the government after she lost her husband, Keith, to the disease in 2012.
On Tuesday politicians in Jersey agreed to compensate islanders.
Ms Summers Shaw says she's delighted, and emotional, with the approval.
She says she's looking forward to a time when there are no more claims and people are not contracting mesothelioma by asbestos....

Channel Islands Sports ProducerHe's battled leaks, electronic issues and an auto-pilot failure - but after more than two weeks at sea, Jersey's Phil Sharp has finished this year's Route Du Rhum.
He crossed the line in third place in the gruelling trans-Atlantic race with a time of 16 days, 13 hours, one minute and 50 seconds.
Mr Sharp averaged a speed of 11.30 knots (20.92 km/h) over 4,487 miles (7,221km).

It's taken two years to redevelop the old brewery in southern St Peter Port into luxury flats.
Some residents in St Peter Port objected to the work and about three months ago the Clameur de Haro was unsuccessfully raised against the new road layout at the site.

BBC Radio GuernseyProposed plans for major repair work at Alderney Airport are long overdue, according to Guernsey's airport director.
The States of Guernsey is being asked to give the go ahead for a £12m refurbishment.
Colin Le Ray says the runway has not been properly resurfaced in almost 20 years.
