Sark is bracing itself for its power to be switched off on Friday evening.
Businesses are getting generators in preparation and people are stockpiling on water - as toilets and taps won't work.

Guernsey's minimum wage will rise by 35p to £8.10 an hour from January.
States members passed proposals from the Employment and Social Security Committee earlier.
The Young Person's rate will also rise, by 45p to £7.50 an hour.
However, the president of the committee, Michelle Le Clerc says going forward, the rate could still be changed.

Politicians have approved replacing the island's opt-in system for organ donation with one of presumed consent where islanders can opt out.
Under the scheme suggested by the health committee family members will still have a role in confirming decisions and appropriate safeguards are due to be built into the law.
That legislation will have to be drafted and approved by the States before the change comes into effect.
Opt-out schemes have been approved in Wales, Jersey and Scotland with discussions about a move to such a system ongoing in England and the Isle of Man.

There are plans to put a statue up in Jersey to commemorate the women who have contributed to island life.

Jersey's education minister says she was not informed of the chief minister's plan to make millions of pounds of savings before it was announced publicly.
Senator John Le Fondre recently told a group of business leaders the States would be making £32m of savings in 2019.
He said it would involve a permanent reduction in the size of the States' workforce.
At an education scrutiny meeting, Senator Tracey Vallois told politicians she was extremely concerned about what this could mean for the future of investment in local education.

A number of businesses in Sark are looking at buying generators to prepare for the power being turned off.
Sark Electricity said it had to turn power off on Friday night after negotiations with the island's government hit an impasse.
Meanwhile, the Stocks Hotel is planning to accommodate up to 50 vulnerable islanders ahead of the electricity supply being turned off on Friday.
General manager of Stocks Paul Armorgie said thanks to installing a backup generator, his staff would be able to help out locals...

Jersey under-18's, external will try to win their second match in a row as they prepare to take on Kent FA on Sunday.
The team stunned current champions Sussex 4-1 in their first ever game in the South East Counties Youth Champions on 19 November.
A string of saves, including a penalty save from Josh Jehan and goals from Thomas Harris, Andy Roxburgh and a brace for Sol Solomon gave Jersey a maiden win in the competition.
Sunday's opponents Kent started their South East Youth Counties Championship campaign with a 2-0 win over London FA.

An electrical fault in a tumble dryer caused the closure of Gloucester Street in Jersey on Tuesday night, it is understood.
Firefighters were called to a launderette there when the shop began to fill with smoke.
There were people living in flats above it, but officers told them to stay inside while they dealt with the fire.
The road was closed for two hours and no-one was hurt.
An investigation is under way.
