The Methodist Church in Guernsey is welcoming comments on a bill to allow same-sex marriage in their chapels.
Guernsey passed legislation to allow same-sex marriage in 2017 but many in the Methodist Church believe it does not support teachings in their scripture.
It follows a groundbreaking report from the Church's Marriage and Relationships Task Group that called for such changes.

There is a new chairman of the States Members' Conduct Panel in Guernsey.
The panel investigates claims of poor conduct made against deputies, whether in the chamber or in day-to-day interaction with the public.
Mrs Judy Beaugeard is retiring on Monday after 12 years of service, including two as chairwoman.
She is replaced by the Very Reverend John Guille, who has been an ordinary member of the panel since March 2017.
Jersey customs officers said they found the suspected drugs hidden in a vehicle's fuel tank.

A large fire at Tamba Park in Jersey last week was "most probably" caused by "discarded smoking materials", firefighters say.
Plumes of smoke could be seen from as far away as Guernsey.
The fire service has said it has concluded its investigation.
The attraction's owner, Johnathan Ruff, had to respond to social media comments made about the blaze, assuring people that it had been an accident, and adding that he was not covered by insurance.
New routes from Aberdeen, Glasgow and Newcastle are unveiled including to Norway and Belgium.

All British Airways flights in and out of Jersey have been cancelled today.
The airline's pilots have begun a two-day strike in an ongoing dispute over pay and conditions.
Tens of thousands of passengers have been told not to go to airports, with the airline cancelling some 1,700 flights due to the disruption.
The pilots' union Balpa said BA management's cost-cuts and "dumbing down" of the brand had eroded confidence in the airline.
But BA chief Alex Cruz said investment in the operator had never been so big.

The amount of rain that fell in Guernsey over the last 12 months is the lowest in a decade.
In Guernsey Water's August report, there was only one day of substantial rain last month.
However, overall reserves of water have only decreased by 5%.
Guernsey Water said it continues to be in a relatively healthy position heading into late 2019.

The leader of the Methodist church in Guernsey says "God loves all" when it comes to same-sex relationships.
The Methodist church is inviting comments ready for a review in October when it will be decided nationally if gay marriages are allowed to take place in their chapels.
The right for same-sex couples to get married in Guernsey was passed in May 2017.
Reverend Howard Stringer said if it's passed in UK Methodist churches, ministers on-island will be able to decide if they opt in or out.

The head of a Jersey charity has welcomed the news that plans to get a UK company to administer Channel Islands lottery funds have been dropped.
The minister responsible, Senator Lyndon Farnham, announced on Friday that he had listened to the outcry from local organisations and would now look to find a local organisation to do the job.
Mike Graham from the Bosdet Foundation said it was the best decision.
He said the islands should be able to organise a way to administer the money that was raised by the lottery and give it out to charities.

A deputy who has been critical of the one school on two-sites model is wishing the Education Committee luck in actioning its plans for the future of secondary education.
Funding was approved by deputies in the States last week.
However, Deputy Andrea Dudley-Owen, who was a member of a previous committee said politicians were motivated by "emotion and ideology" not the facts.
She said the proposals lacked evidence and technical detail.
Senior politicians said the new system was to help increase equality of opportunity for students.
Channel Islands Pride brought colour to the streets to Jersey
A sea of colours lined the streets of Jersey for Channel Islands Pride on Saturday.
Organisers said it was the biggest turn out to date, attracting people from the Channel Islands and beyond who wanted to celebrate diversity.
This year the theme was "Pride on the Beach" as the celebrations took place along the coast.
The event will return next year on 12 September in Guernsey.
