N*E*R*D recruit a new member

Canadian singer Rhea (second right) has now joined N*E*R*D

Pharrell Williams' band N*E*R*D have recruited a permanent new member.

Joining Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo and Shay Haley is classically-trained singer Canadian singer Rhea.

She'll join the band for all forthcoming live shows and also appear on the group's new album Instant Gratification due for release in 2010.

Speaking to MTV News Williams said: "Musically, we're just somewhere else [with her]. The music is now very 3D. It's something you have to hear. But you'll see."
