Ellie Goulding to play at the Brits nominations show

Ellie Goulding, Pixie Lott and La Roux will perform at the Brit award nominations show next week.

The event, hosted by Radio 1's Fearne Cotton from London's 02 arena, will reveal who's in the running for a trophy at the UK's most famous music awards.

Goulding is being tipped for stardom this year, having already won the Brits critics' choice award, coming top in the BBC's Sound of 2010 poll and Newsbeat's top tips for the year.

However, one Brit has already been decided. It's been confirmed that Robbie Williams will get the outstanding contribution to music award.

The star is also expected to close the event, which takes place at Earls Court in London on 16 February.

The nominations event is on ITV2 on Monday 18 January at 8pm.
