Lily Allen will play alongside Muse in September at Wembley

Lily Allen is to delay her temporary retirement from music by supporting Muse at London's Wembley Stadium.

The Smile singer will play alongside the Teignmouth band on Saturday 11 September.

It was thought that Allen's final gig before taking a break from music, to concentrate on a fashion business with her sister, would be at London's Wireless festival in July with Jay-Z.

Other artists set to feature on indivivual nights of Muse's three UK stadium gigs include The Big Pink, Editors, The Temper Trap and Biffy Clyro.

Speaking to the BBC in February Allen said: "I'm just not making another album for a while. I'm moving on to pastures new so record sales and stuff aren't really bothering me right now.

"I just don't really want to go on the road for another three years."

Lily Allen and Muse toured together in Australia during January and February 2010 as part the Big Day Out festival.
