Lady Gaga says the follow-up to The Fame is finished

Lady Gaga has said that her forthcoming second album is "finished".

Speaking in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine she said the follow-up to her debut, 2009's The Fame, is already complete.

The Poker Face singer said: "I've been working on it for months now, and I feel very strongly that it's finished right now. It came so quickly.

"Some artists take years; I don't. I write music every day."

A release date and title for the album have yet to be confirmed.

The 24-year-old New Yorker released The Fame in January 2009 - it has now spent a total of 75 weeks in the UK charts. She released a re-packaged version of the album with eight new tracks, The Fame Monster, later in the year.

Gaga is currently on tour throughout north America. She returns to continue her Monster Ball tour in Europe in October 2010.
