Foals are going to "rework" their most recent album Total Life Forever for a gig at the end of 2010.

The Oxford math-pop band are set to collaborate with London-based orchestra LCO for the show.

Speaking to Radio 1's Zane Lowe, lead singer Yannis Philippakis said: "[It'll be] like a reworking of Total Life Forever but done with drums and percussion stuff.

Philappakis added on the collaboration: "Hopefully we'll do it at the Barbican [London] at some point at the end of the year."

London Contemporary Orchestra have previously worked with musicians including Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood.

"They're super young and fresh-faced and modern," said Philappakis about the orchestra. "That's going to be really exciting."

Foals released their most recent album Total Life Forever in May 2010, and recently played the John Peel stage at this year's Glastonbury.
