Glee cast to release 'Christmas' album

The cast of Glee are to release an album of Christmas cover songs, including Jingle Bells and Wham!'s Last Christmas.

They've recorded 12 festive hits including Deck The Rooftop, Last Christmas and O Holy Night to be released in November.

All five Glee albums to date have gone top five in the UK - totalling more than 800,000 sales.

As of August this year the TV series had sold 1.8 million track downloads.

According to the Official Charts Company, the American TV series has catapulted a staggering 42 tracks into the top 75 of the UK singles chart and 17 into the top 40.

Currently airing in the US, the second season of Glee is to to start in January 2011.

Glee: The Christmas Album will be made available from 29 November.
