JLS have battled problems caused by heavy snowfall to begin their UK arena tour in Aberdeen (29 November).

The band came on stage 15 minutes early after support acts Nathan and Edei were unable to join them because their flights were cancelled.

Aston Merrygold said: "Due to the snow, it's not gone totally to plan but it's been fantastic."

Tonight's gig at Glasgow's Braehead Arena is scheduled to go ahead.

'Last minute'

The singer also explained that a planned dress rehearsal for the first date of the tour had to be cancelled after the production crew's journey was delayed due to the weather.

"We literally had a last-minute run through," he said.

Despite the problems he insisted the start of the tour was never in jeopardy.

"Obviously we planned to rehearse but it was just later getting set up because of the weather but we were never going to cancel the first show.

"It's been fine, fingers crossed we won't have to cancel any of them due to the weather."

After the gig in Glasgow the tour moves on to Liverpool and Cardiff later in the week.
