Jessie J: One of the three artists shortlisted for the Brits Critics Choice Award

Organisers of the 2011 Brit Awards have revealed who has been shortlisted for the Brits Critics' Choice Award.

The honour celebrates the best in new music tipped for mainstream success and is open to artists signed to a label who are set to release their debut albums in the coming year.

The nominees are James Blake, Jessie J and The Vaccines.

Last year's winner was Ellie Goulding with Florence and the Machine and Adele taking home the prize before her.

The artists are chosen by a team of experts involved in the music business.

Some work at radio and TV stations while others are the people behind music websites and magazines

The winner will be revealed on December 15, well ahead of the main Brit Awards ceremony.

That's getting a makeover and a new venue.

It will be held at London's O2 Arena in February 2011.

Organisers have already revealed they've signed up Take That, complete with Robbie Williams, as well as Plan B to perform on the night.
