Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl has said their new album will be out in spring

Foo Fighters are to headline the NME Awards' Big Gig at London's Wembley Arena on 25 February.

Cee Lo Green, Band Of Horses and No Age will provide support for the band on the night.

As previously announced Dave Grohl will be given the magazine's 'Godlike Genius' prize at their annual awards on 23 February.

Cee Lo Green commented: "Cee Lo and Foo Fighters, it's going to be off the hook."

Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl previously told Radio 1 the band's forthcoming seventh album would be released in "spring".

Recorded in the frontman's garage at home, the album marks the first time Grohl has worked with producer Butch Vig since Nirvana's classic Nevermind release.

Tickets for the Big Gig go on general sale on 21 January.
