Comedian Carr said the award hadn't affected his day that much

Comedian Jimmy Carr has won the top prize at a men's magazine's annual comedy awards show.

Carr claimed the legend award at Loaded magazine's 2011 Lafta awards show, held at London's Cuckoo Club.

Other awards went to Channel 4 comedian Alan Carr, American stand-up Rich Hall, and Peep Show actor Isy Suttie.

Michael McIntyre picked up an award for best stand-up for the second year running and Comedy Dave from the Chris Moyles show won funniest sidekick.

Wasn't bothered

Elsewhere veteran jokers Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer retained their title as best double act, while Rhod Gilbert was named funniest TV personality.

TV show Ask Rhod Gilbert also beat Mock the Week and 8 Out of 10 Cats to win best panel show.

Asked what he thought about winning, comedian and presenter Carr joked that he wasn't bothered.

"It hasn't even affected my day that much," he said.

And American comic Hall, who won the stand-up legend award, also poked fun at Loaded magazine.

"I can't tell you the amount of times I've read, well looked at, this magazine and thought that's the accolade I want," he joked.

Loaded editor Andy Sherwood said: "This year's awards just highlight the fantastic calibre of comedic talent we have in the UK."
