Axl Rose has dismissed talk of a Guns N' Roses reunion

Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose has dismissed rumours that he might reform the original line-up of the band with guitarist Slash.

In a statement on his Twitter, Rose said there were "no concrete plans nor were there ever for a tour, or a relaunch, or certainly not to replace anyone in the band".

His comments came after former GN'R guitarist Slash told a US paper he would consider a reunion if Rose phoned him to apologise.

But the singer rubbished talk of him settling his differences with his former bandmate.

He described speculation about the band reforming as "a collection of random ideas thrown out by various individuals without any real foundation."

Rose is the only original member of the Guns N' Roses line-up and has fought to distance the band from Slash since the guitarist left in 1996.

In late 2010 he announced that he was suing the makers of the videogame Guitar Hero III, for featuring an image of Slash on the cover.

In a later Twitter post, Rose added that he was focussing on "prior involvements" that had "nothing to do with old GN'R."
