Hollyoaks rape trial plot to feature real life 'jury'

A real life 'jury' will decide if fictional Hollyoaks character Gilly is guilty of rape
A real life "jury" is to decide the outcome of a fictional court case in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.
Programme bosses are recruiting a panel of potential jurors who will shape the result of a rape trial.
Viewers will see the show's Gilly Roach, played by Anthony Quinlan, charged with raping Jacqui McQueen (Claire Cooper).
His trial will be shown next month and producers are looking for "a broad selection" of people aged of 18 to 70.
Members of the show's jury will review evidence with video clips and documents before coming to a verdict, rather than watching courtroom deliberations.
They will not appear on screen.
Applications open on 17 February at the Hollyoaks website.
